EbuDera Happy Review by Roy OC Chukwu
EbuDera, an underground gospel artiste from the basin of Nigeria known for infusing gospel, even the slightest form into afrobeats.
His recent release 'Happy' is not removed from this — as it would pass as just a street hop even. A birthday gift he thought to gift himself and alongside his fans to share with him the happiness The Almighty has given him — a symbol of thanksgiving.
Amidst the danceable and melodious tune, is the fact that he incorporated a nursery school rhyme into this piece. Taking back his audience to when they were kindergarteners. In the 162 seconds clip, the log drums give a euphoric peak in the chorus.
The genre is almost like Amapiano, but more of a dancehall instrument with an element of just two Amapiano log drums that spanned through the bridge and chorus. An entire and pure amapiano would have been the best for this piece by bringing out the rhythmic beauty extensively.
Happy Birthday, Champ 🏆.
Congratulations 👍 to both the artiste and the blogger for the jobs well done.
