Review: Uzikwendu Teams Up with Peruzzi on New Single "Uzikwendu Is Here"

After the release of his previous single "Abali" earlier this year, Nigeria's fastest rapper Uzikwendu teams up with Peruzzi to drop a new single titled—"Uzikwendu Is Here". "Uzikwendu Is Here" is another product from his usual 'Friday Rap Day Freestyle' series. He decided to make it into a full cut for his discography and for listeners as well.

Flowing on the mid-tempo beat produced by Irock Classic his usual producer, Uzikwendu delivers easy rhymes using a flow that keeps the storytelling scheme alive. The beat comprises four kicks that make a bar, Uzikwendu adopts 48-kicks as his 12-bars. While he uses the last 4-bars as his hook.

The instrumental had a clutch on the kicks for Peruzzi to flow on the cut. The former DMW's signee, Peruzzi illuminates with his cadence delivery, punchlines and wordplays.

Halfway into the third verse Uzikwendu emanates self-awareness with the same flow as the first 12 bars of this piece. The other half lives with metaphoric flare. He ends the track with an intriguing outro.

Overall, "Uzikwendu Is Here" was held down by Uzikwendu's monotonous flow despite Peruzzi's intriguing verse. With more radio play, the song would resonate with larger audience.
